Richmond Youth Host Home Information Session
Thursday, August 22, 2019
5:30 - 6:30 pm
Children's Home Society (4200 Fitzhugh)
There are hundreds of homeless teenagers in Richmond area public schools who are struggling to earn their diplomas and become successful, independent adults. There are also college students who have nowhere to stay over their breaks and holidays.
The youth- and young-adult focused programs and agencies listed below have joined together to create the Richmond Youth Host Home Program. This centrally organized program will place students in volunteer host homes and provide ongoing guidance for both the family and student. This program is currently in its early (but exciting!) stages; frankly, there is such a need for respite, temporary, and long-term host homes that we must move forward – with your help.
