What we do

Change the World RVA is a 501(c)3 established to support high school and college students in Richmond, Virginia who are experiencing homelessness and housing instability. We partner with an army of volunteers, churches, and organizations to make a meaningful difference in the lives of homeless youth. We are an all-volunteer organization. We are the only organization in the region that specifically addresses the needs of high school and college students experiencing homelessness.

We love our village...
We are so looking forward to seeing everyone at Another Woman's Treasure this week! Please bring a friend and show them what all the excitement is about.
We invite you to support two small local, woman-owned businesses that have supported our kids and program for years -- Papeterie and Quilting Adventures. They have both been donation drop-off locations for Another Woman's Treasure, and we are very grateful for their support.
A huge, heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported us during COVID. We are so grateful to our volunteers and donors. Special thanks to Cobb Imprint, the Chesterfield-Midlothian Kiwanis Club, the River City Rotary, and our friends at KPMG.
Thank you to Centenary United Methodist Church for becoming our forever home. It is great to be downtown and to be blessed with your warmth and generosity. Click here to see a few photos of our beautiful new space. We are so happy to be back.
Thank you to the New Virginians for selecting us as their charity this year. Your support and enthusiasm have made this past year much more enjoyable!
Our Birthday Card Brigade sent hundreds of cards to our students this year! Thank you so much to Debbie Chichester for her love & diligence that make it possible.
We have so much to be grateful for. We thank you for your interest & support!
Connect with our students!

We are always busy planning exciting adventures and opportunities for our students. Here are a few ways that you can help our students and make a connection with some really outstanding young people.
-
Help us get ready for Another Woman's Treasure! We especially need help Monday and Thursday evenings. Stop by the Gym door (#11) and we'll put you to work.
-
Donate purses and jewelry for "Another Woman's Treasure." On March 24 & 25, 2023, we will celebrate our 9th anniversary of this Richmond shopping tradition. We also recruit volunteers all year long.
-
Join the Birthday Card Brigade.
-
Invite us to speak at your church, organization, or community group. We love doing this on Zoom, too!
-
When COVID is behind us, we will return to family-style dinners -- let us know if you'd like to bring us a Monday night dinner.
